What's the difference between HiTV mobile digital receivers and analog mobile receivers?

HiTV mobile digital receivers are several generations ahead of analog mobile receivers. Not only you can watch digital TV (with extra channels not available on analog TV), but you will get the benefit of ghost-free DVD quality images and CD quality sound - even while the vehicle is travelling at high speeds (up to 120 km/h).

What are the advantages of digital TV?

Digital TV offers DVD quality pictures as well as CD quality audio. With digital TV, you can also receive extra channels for free. Digital TV offers free-to-air channels that are not available on analog TV, such as ABC2, home shopping, finance, weather, electronic program guide, traffic as well as digital radio.

Where could I get a HiTV mobile digital receiver installed?

Please check out Dealer Information section.

 What warranty do I get?

Each HiTV mobile digital receiver is backed by a One-Year Manufacturer Warranty covering parts and labour for the machine itself.

Can I connect the in-car stereo system to HiTV mobile digital receiver?

Yes, to take advantage of the CD quality sound from digital programs, HiTV mobile digital receiver has audio outputs that can be connected to the in-car stereo system.

 Why can't I use a home set-top box in a moving vehicle?

HiTV mobile digital receivers are designed for use in the vehicles. This means it is rugged, shock-proof, and resistant to extreme temperatures and conditions. It meets all the tough European EMC (Electro-Magnetic Compatibility) standards for automotive safety (such as E-Mark) and therefore is guaranteed not to interfere with the safe operation of critical electronic equipment in vehicles.

Why does HiTV mobile digital receiver seem to retain obsolete channels from another region when I travel?

HiTV mobile digital receiver remembers all the channels that it has ever scanned, even if you have moved to a different region and the channels are different. You can delete the channels that are no longer valid via the Control Panel. To bring up the Control Panel, press the "menu" button on the remote control. Please make sure you press the "scan" button when you travel to different region as broadcaster may change its frequency.
